Prescription Policy

At SkinPharm, we are committed to providing medicines safely and responsibly. Certain medicines available through our website may require a valid prescription or review by a qualified pharmacist before an order can be processed.

This Prescription Policy explains how prescriptions are submitted, reviewed, and used when ordering prescription medicines through SkinPharm.

1. Prescription Requirements

Some medicines require a valid prescription before they can be supplied.

Customers may be asked to provide a prescription when placing an order for a prescription medicine. A prescription may be submitted through the designated prescription-upload facility on the SkinPharm website or through another method communicated by our pharmacy team.

A prescription must be clear, readable, valid, and contain sufficient information for our pharmacist to review the requested medicine.

2. Prescription Verification

All submitted prescriptions may be reviewed by an authorized SkinPharm pharmacist before the relevant medicine is supplied.

Our pharmacist may verify:

  • The patient’s name and relevant information
  • The prescribing doctor’s details
  • The medicine name and strength
  • The prescribed dosage and directions
  • The quantity prescribed
  • The date of the prescription
  • Other information necessary to safely process the order

If any information is unclear or additional clarification is required, our pharmacy team may contact the customer before processing the order.

3. Prescription Approval

Submitting a prescription does not automatically guarantee that an order will be approved or fulfilled.

SkinPharm reserves the right to decline, delay, or modify an order where:

  • The prescription is unclear or incomplete
  • The prescription cannot be verified
  • The prescription appears to be expired or otherwise invalid
  • The prescribed medicine is unavailable
  • The requested medicine does not correspond with the prescription
  • Additional information or clarification is required
  • The order does not meet applicable pharmacy or legal requirements
  • A pharmacist determines that the order requires further professional review

Where appropriate, our pharmacist may contact the customer to discuss the order or request additional information.

4. Prescription Authenticity

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the prescription they submit is genuine and belongs to the intended patient.

Customers must not:

  • Upload forged or altered prescriptions
  • Submit another person’s prescription without authorization
  • Change the details of a prescription
  • Attempt to obtain prescription medicines using false information

SkinPharm may refuse an order and take appropriate action where fraudulent or suspicious prescription activity is identified.

5. Pharmacist Review

SkinPharm’s pharmacist review is intended to support the safe and appropriate processing of prescription orders.

Our pharmacist may contact the customer when clarification is needed before dispensing a medicine.

Pharmacist review does not replace consultation with the customer’s doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.

6. Prescription Changes or Substitutions

SkinPharm will not knowingly substitute a prescribed medicine with another medicine without appropriate professional consideration and, where required, appropriate authorization or confirmation.

If the prescribed medicine is unavailable or there is an issue with the requested product, our pharmacy team may contact the customer to discuss the available options.

7. Prescription Privacy

Prescription information may contain personal and health-related information. SkinPharm will take reasonable measures to protect submitted prescriptions and restrict access to authorized personnel who require the information for legitimate pharmacy, order-processing, customer-support, legal, or regulatory purposes.

Prescription information may also be shared with relevant service providers where necessary to process an order or where required by applicable law.

For more information about how SkinPharm handles personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Prescription Order Cancellation

If a prescription order has not yet been processed or dispatched, customers may contact SkinPharm to request cancellation.

However, cancellation may not be possible once an order has been processed, dispensed, or dispatched.

Any applicable refund will be handled according to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

9. Delivery of Prescription Medicines

Prescription medicines are delivered in accordance with our Delivery Information Policy.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and being available to receive their order where required.

10. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information
  • Submitting a valid prescription where required
  • Following the instructions provided by their doctor or pharmacist
  • Using medicines only as directed
  • Informing their healthcare professional about relevant medical conditions, allergies, or other medicines they are taking
  • Seeking professional medical advice when required

SkinPharm does not encourage customers to self-diagnose or self-medicate with prescription medicines.
